The
Manor
Conservancy
is a
tax-exempt
conservation
land
trust
formed
to protect
and
preserve
Maryland's
farms,
forests,
historical
landmarks,
and
rich
heritage.
Our
goals
are
focused
on preserving
the
predominantly
rural
character
of the
Monkton,
Manor
and
White
Hall
areas,
while
working
in concert
with
neighboring
environmental
groups
in Harford
and
Baltimore
Counties
and
the
State
of Maryland.
The
Conservancy
organizes
and
accepts
easement
donations,
assists
landowners
in selling
development
rights,
and
locates
buyers
to purchase
threatened
land.
Artist
Betsy
Herrmann
has
produced
a set
of prints
depicting
the
four
point-to-point
steeplechase
races
important
to the
Manor
area.
A portion
of the
proceeds
from
their
sale
will
be donated
to the
three
local
land
trusts
of the
area...
Members
are
important
as stewards
for
land
preservation
and
as informed
citizens
who
can
provide
information
or direct
others
to resources
available
for
private
land
protection.
